First, wet the blood stain with cold water. Blot blood with a cotton-ball soaked with hydrogen peroxide. You should notice immediate results with the blood being absorbed into the cotton ball. Continue blotting until most (or all) of the stain is gone. Add a small amount of detergent and pat it into the stained area. Let sit for about five minutes. Wash as usual!

inappropriate? It is always best to try any stain removal tip in an inconspicuous area before treating a stain. I've used hydrogen peroxide and didn't ruin my clothing.
