How it Works
HE washing machines use less water than a regular top-loading washing machine. However, you still have the same amount of dirty laundry. And as a result, there is a much higher concentration of soil to the amount of water in the HE washing machine. Due to this increased soil concentration, 2X Ultra Tide HE is specially formulated with ingredients that suspend this higher level of soil, helping to prevent it from redepositing on clothes during the wash cycle.
Also, HE washing machines are higher-sudsing machines, so 2X Ultra Tide HE is a low-suds formula. This allows you to use a full dose of 2X Ultra Tide HE without having to worry about over-sudsing in your machine (which can be damaging).

Can I use regular detergent in my HE machine?
Using traditional detergent in an HE washing machine can cause excess suds. Excess suds could lead to washer problems, and just using a smaller dose of regular detergent won’t solve the problem. Does Tide® HE 2X Concentrated Liquid do as many loads as regular Tide HE?
Yes, a 2.95L bottle of 2X Ultra Tide does the same number of loads as the 5.91L bottle of nonconcentrated Tide.
Do I need to dilute 2X Ultra Tide HE Free before I use it?
There is no need to dilute Tide® HE 2X Concentrated Liquid prior to use. As noted in the usage instructions on the packaging, fill the cap of Tide® HE 2X Concentrated Liquid to the appropriate line and pour it in just like you would with a regular HE detergent.
