Let's face it, laundry can be time-consuming, overwhelming-you name it. But it's necessary. After all, who doesn't like the feeling of fresh, clean clothes? Wouldn't be nice though if we could figure out a couple of ways to make laundry a bit more efficient and easy? Sure it would. Luckily, it's not all that difficult to simplify your laundry routine. Take a look at some of these tips from Tide, and you'll be on your way to efficiently managing (and maybe even enjoying) laundry time!
Making your laundry life easier starts with not letting it pile up! You know, when the laundry hamper starts overflowing and you decide you'd rather buy new socks than tackle the laundry. The more you let your laundry build up, the more of an impossible foe it becomes. Try wearing clean items that don't need to be washed frequently, such as jeans more than just once. Also, consider keeping a Tide to Go® pen handy to eliminate fresh food and drink stains instantly that way you won't have to add to the pil.
Once your clothes are ready to come out of the dryer, take them out immediately and fold them or hang them right away. This way, you'll prevent wrinkles and won't have to do any unnecessary ironing. Try keeping extra hangers in the laundry room to hang wrinkle-prone clothes as soon as they come out of the dryer. In case you forget to do this, you can always throw a damp towel into the dryer (which creates steam) and re-dry for five to ten minutes in order to remove wrinkles.
Digging hopelessly through piles of laundry in search of your lone sock's missing match can be frustrating. Save yourself from the agony by giving every member of your family a small, washable mesh bag for their dirty socks. Then, all you have to do is simply toss the bags in the washer and their socks will stay sorted for you. No more searching for a needle in a haystack!
One way of making sure you don't have to deal with a mountain of dirty laundry is to do more small loads. One small load of laundry is a lot less daunting and time-consuming than three massive piles worth. Throw a load in while you're watching T.V. in the evening. Maybe you can start the wash in the morning when you wake up, and then start drying it after you're dressed. By doing smaller loads more often, you'll find it easy to stay on top of things, and you'll spend less effort and time in getting laundry done.
Follow these easy suggestions, and you'll be on your way to having an efficient laundry routine that won't scare you away from doing the wash!
